How the Tobi Canoe Got to Sonsorol

Before the Germans came a Tobi man named Faraparah drifted from Tobi to Mapia Island in a Tobi canoe. He taught all the people of Mapia how to make Metesie.

During German times, a man named Manurah whose mother was Sonsorolese and father was Papuan went to Sonsorol on a German ship. He taught the Sonsorol people how to build the Tobi canoe.
