Night Fishing Method 5: Bauru Bong

Line: | Nemesio—11 feet very thin nylon, doubled. Matias—medium cotton. | |
Leader: | Nemesio—none. Matias—fiber | |
Sinker: | None. | |
Bait: | Any fish or Umen (hermit crab). Matias—Umen only. |
11 foot bamboo pole. Line is tied on 4 feet from tip of pole. Tied on every 5 inches with string. From 14 inches to the top, wrap the string around the pole 2 or 3 times every 4 inches.
Go any place on island. Matias—West side is best.
Go onto reef. Low tide going out. Stand in knee deep water. Hold pole with both hands—the left hand on the butt and the right about 6 inches above. Cast over the reef into the water.
The best months are March and April from 8:00 - 12:00 p.m. on a moonlit night. Matias—doesn’t have to be moon.
